Coolants and cryogenic liquids are intended to be moved using cryogenic pumps. They are designed to function in extremely cold conditions. Depending on the system configuration and application, Cryogenic Pump can be built with long shafts or submersible designs to circulate coolant in a wide range of applications. A cryogenic pump is a kind of pump that is used to transfer extremely cold fluids, like liquid helium or liquid nitrogen.
Cryogenic Pump can normally transport fluids at a rate of up to 1 litre per minute and are specially made to function at extremely low temperatures. In cryogenic displacement pumps, the cryogenic fluid is drawn into the pump by a displacement mechanism, such as a piston or diaphragm. The mechanism compresses the fluid and pumps it through the system and into the delivery system. In Roots pumps, the cryogenic fluid is drawn into the pump by a pair of rotating lobes.
